September 26, 2009 Incline Village, Nevada

Incline is 4 miles from the Northshore Casinos (Tahoe Biltmore (where we have rooms blocked: small but clean, not really a lake view), and the CalNeva (good lake views on the California side, ok ones on the Nevada side, nicer rooms than the Biltmore)) and Lodging in Crystal Bay. Across from the CalNeva is the Tahoe Inn, advertising on a sign out front $39 rooms. We checked out a room: 2 double beds, pretty spacious, funky and old, not so great bathroom. But if you call, they might give you the cheap rate. The Incline Hyatt is 1.5 miles down the street from our reception site. In the Crystal Bay Club is a little bistro place with breakfast (and really good powder-sugar pastry) and all kinds of coffee drinks; it's in between the Biltmore and CalNeva. We found another small motel in Crystal Bay, called the Crystal Bay Motel (775-831-0287). They don't have a website, and I didn't get to see a room.
Southlake is 17 miles away.
